Let Justice Roll

Let Justice Roll is a piece that has been in my head for several years. In January 2012, I decided that I wanted to try to figure out a way to perform the piece, as well as bring awareness to the topic of human trafficking. Thus began a nearly seven month journey of planning for the event Under the Stars held at Hillside Studio in July 2012.

As this piece has evolved over the last few years, I began to focus the story on the modern day abolitionist I have been reading about. This piece is my tribute to those who ask hard questions, and who don't give up in the face of evil. Their willingness to press on, even when things are hard, has been an inspiration to me.

Video for this was taken by Heather Greco and Chip Reed on July 20th, 2012. Let Justice Roll was written and performed by Sarah Carleton. Portions of the text come from the book of Amos and from Psalm 10.
